Xpertaces

Our Story · Leadership

Four Aces.
One Powerful Partnership.

The complementary experience behind every Xpertaces case—and the value it creates for channel partners.

The four partners of Xpertaces represented as four aces

The hand we bring to the table

Four different suits. Four different strengths. One accountable execution team.

Every standard deck of playing cards contains four aces. Each belongs to a different suit, each has its own identity, and each can change the direction of a game.

Xpertaces Partners LLP has its own four aces: four Co-Founders and Partners whose experience spans lending, credit, sales, operations, loan syndication, mortgages, structured finance and relationship management.

Individually, each partner brings a distinct professional strength. Together, they form a well-balanced hand capable of supporting channel partners across multiple financial-product segments.

This does not mean every case automatically becomes a winning hand. Lenders still have credit policies, borrowers still need eligibility, and documents occasionally behave like missing cards from an otherwise perfect deck. What Xpertaces brings is the experience to understand the hand, choose a strategy and play every eligible case intelligently.

The Ace of Diamonds

Sandeep Pugalia

Financial clarity & transaction structuring

Diamonds naturally represent value, capital and financial structuring. This makes them an appropriate suit for Sandeep, a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of experience across business finance, loan syndication, credit advisory, mortgage lending, real estate and strategic consulting.

His strength lies in understanding the financial story behind a requirement. A funding proposal is rarely just a collection of balance sheets, bank statements and property papers. It is a story about the borrower’s business, cash flows, borrowing purpose, repayment capability and future potential. His role is to make that story financially coherent and lender-ready.

For channel partners, this means a complicated case need not be discarded simply because it does not fit into a standard product box. The requirement can first be understood, structured and presented appropriately before a lender is approached.

In a card game, an ace becomes valuable when played at the right moment. Similarly, even a strong borrower profile can lose its impact if it is presented to the wrong lender, under the wrong product or without a clear financial rationale. Sandeep helps channel partners avoid playing a good card at the wrong table.

Particular value across

  • Working-capital finance
  • Business loans
  • Loan syndication
  • Structured finance
  • Credit advisory
  • Cash-flow planning

The Ace of Spades

Subarna Mukherjee

Mortgage depth & strategic perspective

The spade represents depth, experience and the ability to dig beneath the surface. That aligns closely with Subarna’s extensive journey across finance and mortgage lending.

Subarna brings over 27 years of professional experience, including more than 22 years of specialised experience in the mortgage industry. A First-Class Commerce Graduate, Harvard Certified and CRISIL Certified professional, he combines deep sector knowledge with contemporary financial thinking.

Mortgage cases often appear straightforward until the actual game begins. Then arrive the property documents, legal opinions, technical valuations, income assessments, deviations, sanction conditions and disbursement requirements. His understanding of the mortgage ecosystem helps channel partners identify potential complications early, assess a suitable financing route and manage client expectations more realistically.

Subarna provides the depth required to distinguish between a case that merely looks attractive and one that can move through credit, legal, technical and disbursement stages. He studies the table before making a move—because an ace is powerful only when the rest of the hand has also been understood.

Particular value across

  • Home loans
  • Loan Against Property
  • Mortgage finance
  • Retail lending
  • Customer assessment
  • Financial-solution design
  • Strategic advisory
  • Long-term relationships

The Ace of Hearts

Samrat Gupta

Relationships & channel development

The heart of every successful channel business is relationships. This makes the Ace of Hearts a natural fit for Samrat.

Samrat brings 24 years of overall experience, including 21 years in the mortgage industry. His career spans branch banking, business development, Loan Against Property, SME lending, sales leadership and channel management, with leadership responsibilities across YES BANK, IDFC FIRST Bank, IndusInd Bank, Reliance Home Finance, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank.

An MBA in Marketing and an IIM Calcutta alumnus in the Advanced Management Programme in FinTech and Financial Blockchain, he brings together traditional relationship banking and modern financial-services thinking.

For channel partners, access to products is only one part of the equation. They also need someone who understands how channels operate, how client relationships must be protected and how opportunities can be developed over time. Samrat’s strength lies in understanding people, markets and relationships—the human side of every financial transaction. After all, even the best hand cannot play itself.

Particular value across

  • Channel development
  • Business partnerships
  • Loan Against Property
  • SME lending
  • Mortgage distribution
  • Market expansion
  • Relationship management
  • Team building & sales strategy

The Ace of Clubs

Saswata Majumdar

Credit, sales & operational execution

The club represents action, execution and the ability to handle the hard work after the strategy has been decided. Saswata fits this role through his versatile experience across NBFC credit, sales and operations.

An MBA in Marketing and Finance, Saswata brings over 19 years of experience across business development, branch operations, credit and risk underwriting, loan disbursement, portfolio management, audit compliance and customer service. His professional journey includes important responsibilities at YES BANK, ICICI Home Finance, PNB Housing Finance, Deutsche Postbank Home Finance and LIC Housing Finance.

He understands what happens after a proposal enters the lender’s system: where cases typically slow down, what credit teams examine, why operational queries arise and what is required to move a sanctioned case towards disbursement.

This versatility is valuable because sourcing a case is only the opening move. The real test is getting it evaluated, sanctioned, documented and disbursed. Saswata makes sure the team does not celebrate simply after being dealt an ace—the game is not over until the final card has been played and, in lending, until the money has actually been disbursed.

Particular value across

  • NBFC & housing-finance credit
  • Sales & business development
  • Credit & risk underwriting
  • Branch operations
  • Sanction & disbursement
  • Post-disbursement documents
  • Portfolio management
  • Audit & compliance
  • Collections & service
  • Team & vendor management

How the hand works

The right experience enters at the right stage.

01

Understand

Clarify the borrower, requirement, purpose, security and relationship context.

02

Structure

Shape the requirement into a credible financing route and lender-ready proposal.

03

Place

Identify suitable lender programmes rather than applying everywhere and hoping for an ace.

04

Execute

Coordinate credit, legal, technical, documentation and disbursement follow-through.

How the four aces work together

The true strength of four aces is not that they are identical. It is that they cover every suit.

A case may begin with Samrat identifying the business opportunity and understanding the channel relationship. Sandeep may then assess the financial requirement and determine how it should be structured. Subarna may examine the mortgage or retail-lending pathway and anticipate property-related issues. Saswata may help ensure that the case is credit-ready, operationally complete and followed through to disbursement.

Depending on the requirement, the sequence may change. More than one partner may participate in the same case, and some cases may require the attention of the complete team.

The objective is not to create unnecessary layers. It is to bring the right experience into the case at the right stage.

Value across product segments

One team across multiple financing pathways.

Working Capital

Working-capital cases require an understanding of turnover, operating cycles, banking conduct, cash flows, existing limits and the purpose of funding. Sandeep’s financial structuring, Saswata’s credit discipline and Samrat’s business context help move the conversation from “the client needs a limit” to a credible facility proposal.

Business & Unsecured Loans

Speed matters, but so do eligibility, banking behaviour, bureau history and programme selection. The team helps organise information and reduce random applications. Applying everywhere is not a strategy; it is the financial-services equivalent of throwing the deck into the air and hoping an ace lands face up.

Loan Against Property

Income, business profile, purpose, property type, ownership, valuation and legal acceptability must work together. Subarna’s mortgage depth, Samrat’s LAP experience, Sandeep’s structuring and Saswata’s operational understanding address both the borrower and the security.

Home Loans

Home loans involve more than a competitive rate. Borrower eligibility, property stage, developer documentation, legal title, technical progress, own contribution and disbursement schedule matter. The team supports the journey from initial eligibility to final disbursement.

Structured Finance

These requirements may involve expansion, project funding, refinancing, promoter needs, real-estate exposure or several repayment sources. The better question is not merely “Which bank will do this?” but “How should the transaction be structured so that an appropriate lender can evaluate it?”

Real Estate Advisory

Real-estate transactions sit at the intersection of property, finance, documentation and timing. Combined experience across mortgages, credit assessment and lender coordination helps identify issues early and create clarity around financing possibilities.

Investment & Insurance

These conversations are built on trust, suitability and long-term relationships. Through its platform and appropriate product partners, Xpertaces helps channel partners widen the solutions available to clients while keeping the referring partner central to the engagement.

What channel partners gain

A wider capability without losing ownership of the client relationship.

A wider product offering

Discuss more client requirements without building a separate internal team for every financial product.

Experienced case assessment

Identify strengths, weaknesses and missing information early through complementary finance, mortgage, credit, sales and operations perspectives.

Better lender matching

Evaluate the case before identifying possible routes. A good card player does not use the same strategy in every round; a responsible advisor does not send every case to the same lender.

Stronger case presentation

Structure the requirement, organise information and respond to lender queries more clearly.

End-to-end execution support

Coordinate the journey from the initial discussion and document review through sanction conditions and disbursement follow-up.

Protection of the partner relationship

The channel partner retains ownership of the client relationship. Xpertaces works as the specialist team behind the partner—not as a competitor in front of the client.

Learning and capability development

Product training, process guidance and practical case-based learning can help partners identify and discuss a broader range of opportunities.

The Xpertaces hand

Four complementary capabilities. One team.

  • Sandeep brings financial clarity and transaction structuring.
  • Subarna brings deep mortgage expertise and strategic perspective.
  • Samrat brings channel leadership, market development and relationships.
  • Saswata brings cross-functional strength across credit, sales and operations.

Together, they create a platform designed to help channel partners offer more, understand cases better and execute opportunities with greater confidence.

Xpertaces cannot control every card in the deck. Credit policies can change, property issues can emerge, and borrowers occasionally remember an existing loan only after the bureau report does. But with four experienced aces at the table, channel partners do not have to play blind.

They bring the relationship. Xpertaces helps understand the hand, structure the strategy and play the case through to its most appropriate outcome.Discuss a partnership ↗
